Twitter

Twitter isn’t just for telling people you just scratched your nose. It’s a world-wide platform for connecting with others in many different ways. Just don’t expect to ‘get’ it right away.

BufferApp might help you be "awesome on Twitter"

The problem some face is they’ll be browsing the web and finding great web pages to share and send out a zillion links within a few minutes. The flood of links can turn off the people following you.

Think about it, would you appreciate seeing the same account sending tweet after tweet after tweet maybe dozens at a time? I’ve unfollowed people for that. As people looking for positive social change through social network connections we should be looking for valuable contact with others, and a practice that’s likely to turn people off should be avoided.

Buffer makes these offers meant to help us with this problem:
  • Never flood your followers again.
  • Add Tweets to your Buffer and we spread them out for you during the day.
The method could be known as “scheduled tweets” meaning they let you define several times during the day in which tweets will be sent.

You can post tweets via the dashboard inside your account. They have integration with Chrome, Firefox, Safari or using a bookmarklet any other web browser. Additionally it works while on the twitter.com website, from inside Google Reader, and on mobile devices.

Their strategy must be to integrate their service with as many methods for sending tweets as possible. That is - how do you get tweets into their buffer so it can buffer out your tweets? You have to use a twitter app that supports their service.
